What classes are available?
- American Heart Association CPR Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider —$65
This program is for healthcare providers. These include EMS personnel, physician assistants, doctors, dentists, nurses and respiratory therapists. It is also ideal for students entering the healthcare field. Tuition includes the required AHA CPR BLS textbook.
Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Providers covers core material. It includes adult and pediatric one- and two-rescuer CPR. It also covers how to use a face shield and a bag mask to deliver ventilation support to patients, foreign-body airway management and using an automated external defibrillator (AED). The program requires you to pass a written exam and skills test.
- CPR Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider Renewal —$65
You must bring your valid Healthcare Provider card to class for admission.
- CPR Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider Online —$50
This course is for healthcare providers seeking an alternative to classroom-based training. It delivers cognitive learning through web-based, self-paced modules.
You need to meet with an American Heart Association instructor after successful completion of the web-based modules. You will complete the hands-on skills practice session and skills test.
You will receive your BLS for Healthcare Provider course completion card after successful completion of the skills test.
You must complete the online portion of the course before you can schedule your practical skills session. Call 717-780-2458 to schedule your practical skills session.
- CPR and AED Heartsaver —$40
This course is for those who have a duty to respond to an emergency while at work. It is also ideal for individuals who need to fulfill a regulatory requirement. This course does not meet the requirements for healthcare providers.
The Heartsaver AED course teaches CPR and AED. It covers how to stop adult, child and infant choking.
- First Aid, CPR AED Heartsaver —$75
This program meets OS requirements for First Aid training at all work places.
The American Heart Association developed this standardized program to help students recognize and treat sudden illness and injury. Students also learn to recognize signs of unresponsiveness. It also covers bleeding control, airway management and using an AED.
We charge $10 for all card reprints.
When is registration due?
Registration for CPR training closes two weeks before the start of class.
We will not accept on-site registrations.
