Harrisburg Promise Season

In HACC's Harrisburg Promise program, participating students from at-risk areas will be supported from seventh grade through successful graduation from HACC! They will regularly visit HACC's Harrisburg Campus and local businesses for a series of planned events that prepare them with skills they will need to be successful both academically and in life.

Engineering Career Day

This program enables students from local high schools to explore careers in Engineering. Students participate in hands-on lessons with HACC faculty and industry professionals in multiple areas of Engineering; including areas such as Nanofabrication, Building Construction Management and Civil, Structural, Electrical, Electronic and Mechanical Engineering. This program is designed to introduce students to these possible career options, as well as the corresponding HACC academic programs, which are designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to be successful in these fields.

For over 35 years, HACC has run an annual computer problem-solving contest open to teams from all area high schools. Students compete with peers from other schools by solving problems through developing programs in a variety of computer programming languages.

Dental Programs Pinning and Awards Ceremony

This pinning and awards ceremony is an event designed to recognize the students who have completed the dental hygiene, dental assisting, or expanded function dental auxiliary (EFDA) programs. Each year, our event recognizes students with their professional pin along with multiple monetary awards as special recognition for community service, professionalism and scholastic achievement.

Pink Out/HACC Homecoming

HACC’s Athletic program has six varsity intercollegiate teams and one club team.

This homecoming event includes a home soccer match, volleyball match and cross country meet. Afterward, current HACC players and alumni participate in a social event. The event is a “pink out” event in support of breast cancer research and awareness.
