Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) $175It is highly recommended that any prospective student possess an understanding of CPR, pharmacology and ECG rhythm interpretation skills before enrolling in this class. The ACLS program was designed by the American Heart Association to prepare healthcare and emergency medical services personnel in the treatment of cardiac emergencies. Emphasis is placed on early recognition or life-threatening cardiac emergencies and their recommended treatment. Tuition includes the American Heart Association ACLS Provider textbook. Advanced Cardiac Life Support Renewal (ACLS-R) $125For the Advanced Provider with a current ACLS card. Tuition includes the American Heart Association ACLS Provider textbook.Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) $175It is highly recommended that any prospective student possess an understanding of CPR, pharmacology and ECG rhythm interpretation skills before enrolling in this class. The PALS program was designed by the American Heart Association to prepare healthcare and emergency medical services personnel in the care of a critically ill child. Emphasis is on aggressive assessment and treatment of children in respiratory or cardiac arrest. This program also stresses the initial management and care issues of trauma and transfer. Tuition includes the American Heart Association PALS Provider textbook. Pediatric Advanced Life Support Renewal (PALS-R) $125For the Advanced Provider with a current PALS card. Tuition includes the American Heart Association PALS Provider textbook. Heartcode ACLS & PALS $75The Heartcode course is designed for those seeking certification outside of a classroom setting. This course covers the didactic portion of the traditional ACLS and PALS programs including interactive case based scenarios. Upon successful completion of the on-line module, the student should print the completion certificate. The students are then required to meet with an American Heart Association ACLS/PALS instructor to complete a hands-on skills practice session and skills test. The student must bring the completion certificate to the appointment for skills testing. Upon successful completion of the skills verification, the student will be given a course completion card.
