Municipal Police Academy/Act 120 Training
As the need for education and training of municipal police officers increases, the PLEC continues to meet this need as a certified law enforcement training center under the PLEC Act 120.

The 23rd part-time Academy will begin on Jan. 11, 2022.  That application process will open on Oct. 1, 2021.  The 121st full-time Academy will begin on March 14, 2022.  That application process will open on Dec. 1, 2021.  In order to be eligible to apply for these programs, you will need to attend a Zoom session with the Director.  Those session are scheduled as follows:

Sept. 23, 2021 - 4 p.m.
Sept. 29, 2021 - 7 p.m.
Oct. 7, 2021 - 4 p.m.
Oct. 21, 2021 - 10 a.m.
Nov. 3, 2021 - 7 p.m.
Nov. 18, 2021 - 4 p.m.
Please email policetrng@hacc.edu to register for one of these sessions.  There may be sessions scheduled later in the Fall for those interested in the March 2022 full-time Academy.  Please check back later for those dates.  Once you complete a Zoom session and decide you wish to apply, we will email you the link to enroll in our online application process (via D2L).  The cost to apply is $65, which includes an application fee and your initial entrance testing fees.  Please do not take any steps toward the application process until the process opens on the dates listed.
