General Motors Technician Trainee II (New Fall 24) - Diploma (0670)

If you finished our General Motors (GM) Technician Trainee I certificate, now you are able to move ahead and pursue advanced diagnostics and major assembly repair courses offered in our diploma! Our advanced skills diploma takes your certificate-level education to the next level through a fast-tracked curriculum that offers you advanced training on major components and in-depth diagnostic strategies. Step up and continue your journey towards becoming a GM World Class Technician with instruction from our GM Certified professors in a Master Level Program that is certified by the Automotive Service Excellence Education Foundation.

Completing our GM Technician Trainee II diploma, coupled with practical work experience and guidance, enhances your credentials from the GM Technician Trainee I certificate and advances your opportunities as a GM Technician. As a graduate, you are now prepared to perform diagnosis, programming and repairs on GM vehicles and complete approximately 90 percent of General Motors Technician Training required for the Master Technician Certification.

Our GM Technician Trainee II diploma is designed as an apprentice-type curriculum to allow completers of the GM Technician Trainee I Certificate to further your education/knowledge and skills in the areas of powertrains and control systems. 

Our diploma builds upon the knowledge and skills acquired in the GM Technician Trainee I certificate and provides you with upper-level GM automotive courses in:

  • Transmissions
  • Drivelines
  • Powertrain Controls
  • Electronic Systems

Upon completion of our diploma, you are prepared to: 

  • Work as a factory-trained Automotive Technician at a General Motors dealership or an AC/Delco independent shop
  • Perform diagnostics, programming and Powertrain Systems repairs on General Motors vehicles
  • Complete Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification Exams

Our diploma is designed to lead you directly into the workforce. However, you may continue your education by completing your associates degree by enrolling into our Automotive Technology GM (ASEP) AAS program.

Our diploma can be completed at our Harrisburg Campus through on-campus/in-person instruction.
