Honors Program Admission Requirements

HACC’s Harrisburg Campus is closed on March 5, 2026, for a mandatory electrical test:

Please note:
a. Employees who work on the Harrisburg Campus should work with their supervisor to determine their working modality for March 5.
b. Only essential personnel from the Facilities and Real Estate Department and the Public Safety and Security Department should report to the Harrisburg Campus.
c. During this time, on-campus resources at the Harrisburg Campus will not be available.
d. Students can access the Welcome Center, financial aid, academic advising, career services, admissions and the bursar online or at another HACC campus.
e. All classes on March 5, 2026 (a spring break date), will be canceled, through distance education or moved to another location. Students with classes on this date should confer with their instructor.
f. Employees with external partners should share this information accordingly.

Honors Admission Requirements

Apply for Honors Program

The Honors Program welcomes students of all majors, and all students are welcome to register for honors coursework, regardless of whether they’ve been formally accepted into the program. Admission to the program requires the completion of the Honors Program application form. All English developmental course requirements (writing and reading) must be satisfied prior to enrollment in the program.

Current HACC Students must have a 3.5 GPA or higher.
New Students must have at least a 3.5 GPA, or be in the top 20% of their class at the time of HS graduation, or have a combined 1150 SAT score (Reading and Math).
ACT score composite 24 or higher

Dual enrollment students may apply but will need to conduct an interview with the Associate Dean.
