Sample Bequest Language Information

Codicil

If you have already written a will that is satisfactory to you in its general provisions, you may amend it by writing a codicil. A codicil is merely an addition to a will.

I, ____________________________, resident of ___________ declare that this is the Codicil of my will of ______________ (date of original will).

I add the following provision to my will:
I give and bequeath _______________________ to the HACC Foundation, a non-profit corporation in the state of Pennsylvania and located at One HACC Drive, Harrisburg, PA 17110, its successors and assigns to be used to establish a need-based scholarship for HACC students.

Specific Bequest to the HACC Foundation


A specific bequest gives a specific item or piece of property to the HACC Foundation. If the donor disposes of the specified item during his or her lifetime, there will be no bequest to the Foundation.

 

I give _____________________________ (describe asset) to the HACC Foundation, a HACC Foundation, a non-profit corporation in the state of Pennsylvania and located at One HACC Drive, Harrisburg, PA 17110, to further the objectives and purposes of the 1 Foundation and HACC. The asset should be used to establish a need-based scholarship for HACC students.

 

Cash Bequest to the HACC Foundation

A cash bequest provides the HACC Foundation with a specified sum of money from a donor’s estate.

 

I give ________ dollars ($____________) to the HACC Foundation, a non-profit corporation in the state of Pennsylvania and located at One HACC Drive, Harrisburg, PA 17110, to further the objectives and purposes of the Foundation and HACC. Residuary Bequest to the HACC Foundation

A residuary bequest is made from the residue, or what remains in a donor’s estate after specific and cash bequests, taxes, settlement costs and debts are satisfied.
