Why Become a HACC Foundation Board Member?

The HACC Foundation is seeking professional, ethical, knowledgeable and hard-working Board members with a passion for education and the community.

The HACC Foundation Board raises funds for HACC and develops the strategic direction of the HACC Foundation. Board members serve as ambassadors to the College and important voices to College leadership. Board members are expected to be informed, active and engaged. Benefits of joining the HACC Foundation Board:

  • Connect with HACC from a strategic position
  • Influence how HACC engages with stakeholders
  • Learn more about HACC and the HACC Foundation and broaden your perspectives on current issues
  • Improve community relations by sharing your individual knowledge and skills
  • Receive exposure to other disciplines which you may not encounter in your “day job”
  • Enrich your career and professional network
  • Get advanced invitations to special events and programs
  • Share your leadership experience, mentor students and alumni and/or speak publicly
  • Be featured in marketing materials in support of fundraising campaigns and/or student recruitment campaigns

Our volunteers change the lives of thousands of students. Also, they have the opportunity to enjoy programs and services offered by the College. Items to consider:

  • Anyone may apply for membership on the HACC Foundation Board.
  • Applications for Board membership will be accepted at any time and should be submitted using an online application.
  • Applications will be reviewed by the HACC Foundation Nominating Committee, and applicants may be invited to interview with the Nominating Committee.
  • Applicants must be approved by a majority of the members of Nominating Committee during a democratic voting process. If this occurs, the nomination must then be approved by a majority of the HACC Foundation Board members during a democratic voting process. If this occurs, the nomination must then be approved by a majority of the HACC Board of Trustees during a democratic voting process.
  • There is no guarantee you will be selected for membership on the HACC Foundation Board. We can guarantee, however, that your application will be given serious consideration.
