There is no deadline to contribute to the HACC Foundation in support of the Mary-Lynne Weber Memorial Scholarship. You can contribute to this scholarship indefinitely and as often as you would like.

To do so, please:

• Contribute online at www.hacc.edu/GiveNow, see the “Choose Your Designation” field, select “Scholarship Fund (specify name of fund in field below),” see the “Please enter the name of fund here” field and type “Mary-Lynne Weber Memorial Scholarship” in the field.
• Make your check payble to “HACC Foundation,” write “Mary-Lynne Weber” on the memo line and mail the check to HACC Foundation, PO Box 8915, Lancaster, PA 17604-9966. Unfortunately, checks not made payable to the HACC Foundation cannot be processed and thus will be returned to you.

In January 2019, long-time HACC psychology professor Lynne Weber lost her battle with breast cancer. Her dedication to students was known to everyone in life and continues as part of her legacy. Lynne’s final wishes included the creation of a HACC Foundation scholarship for HACC students.

On Oct. 15, 2019, one day before what would have been Lynne’s 46th birthday, HACC’s Social Sciences Department will be working jointly with the West Shore Poker League and Boomerang Bar and Grill to host a Texas Hold ’Em night to raise money for the Mary-Lynne Weber Memorial Scholarship.

Many of you may not know this, but Lynne was an avid poker player and played often at Boomerang’s with the West Shore Poker League.

At this event, there will be opportunities to play in a poker tournament, watch others play in a poker tournament, share memories of Lynne, have fun and raise funds for HACC students.

We hope many of you will join us for the event whether or not you wish to play in the tournament. We also hope you will contribute more than $25.
