Meet Megan: Future Medical School Student

“The administration, faculty, and staff are incredibly student-centered! I have received nothing less than 100% support while taking classes.”

For many students, the financial burden of paying for college can inhibit their dreams. Megan Kopitsky, a biology student at HACC’s Harrisburg Campus, chose HACC because of the quality of the institution, the affordability of classes and convenient location to her home. As a nontraditional student fully supporting herself, she said that if HACC was no longer an option, “I would be disappointed and may not be able to continue to pursue my dream.”

Megan currently serves as President of the Student Government Association and credits the Bruce E. Cooper Student Center as an integral part of her HACC experience. “The Cooper Student Center really is the heartbeat of the campus and it is where we test new ideas, engage with students, and strive to enrich their college experience,” she said.

After graduating in 2020, Megan plans to transfer to a four-year institution and continue studying biology before applying to medical school.
