Meet Joseph: Proving It’s Never Too Late

“Life is meant to be lived, and you need to actively pursue it.” 

At 50, Joseph is proving that it’s never too late to pursue an education and reach your career goals. 

After facing a health scare that required emergency surgery, Joseph began focusing on pursuing his goals. “I learned not to put off things for later. There may not be a later,” he said. 

As a first-generation and transfer student, he chose HACC because it offered the flexibility to balance work and classes, along with a welcoming environment for older students like him. 

Currently studying building construction management, Joseph plans to move up into a management position with his current employer and continue his education, exploring various subjects that interest him.
