“HACC feels like a real college and is super affordable. It is not your typical idea of a community college.”
For Taylor Lewis, getting a degree does not mean choosing between work and school. At HACC, she thrives while doing both.
One of the reasons she picked HACC is the College’s affordability. “HACC was financially easier to afford. I was able to work a full-time job along with being a full-time student,” she said.
She became a business major because of the program’s versatility. She plans to someday work in administration in a hospital setting.
Taylor credits one of her HACC professors with motivating her to “find what I love to do and find a way to make money from it.” This professor, she said, inspired her to take risks, choose a career and be confident in her choice.
One of her proudest achievements is making the dean’s list with a 3.7 GPA while working a full-time job.
Taylor added, “The Career Center in Cooper Student Center has been the most valuable to me.”
Everything Taylor has accomplished at HACC so far shows that her career will be bright!
