Division: Academic Affairs and Workforce Development
Team Composition: Director, Assistant Director, and three Data Analysts

The Institutional Research & Reporting (IRR) team supports HACC’s mission by conducting research and providing data, analysis, and interpretation to both internal and external stakeholders. The team plays a critical role in institutional planning, assessment, compliance, and decision-making.
 

Department Mission

The IRR team supports college priorities through timely and accurate research, data analysis, and reporting that guide institutional effectiveness and strategic decision-making.

Key responsibilities:

  • Compliance Reporting: Compile and submit mandated reports to government agencies and accrediting bodies.
  • Data Infrastructure: Build and maintain reliable, relevant datasets and visualizations to support institutional decisions.
  • Data Literacy: Promote understanding and use of data across the college to support planning, assessment, and resource allocation.
  • Governance & Oversight: Oversee HACC’s Institutional Review Board (IRB) and support data governance efforts.
 
Department Goals
  1. Ensure Institutional Compliance:
    Maintain accurate and timely submission of all required institutional reports.
  2. Support Continuous Improvement:
    Facilitate data-informed decision-making to enhance college programs and services.
  3. Promote Sustainability:
    Document departmental processes to ensure long-term operational continuity.
  4. Enhance Internal Operations:
    Improve team efficiency and collegewide data dissemination through streamlined internal processes.
