Career Services

Whether you are a student, prospective student, alumnus, employer or community partner, the Career Services Unit team at HACC wants to help you. Our primary function is to support our students’ professional growth and development toward their career goals. We also work hard to connect students, businesses and community partners.

Career Services assists individuals with:

  • Exploring career options
  • Identifying college major and career direction
  • Locating internship opportunities and experiential learning
  • Conducting a job search
  • Preparing resumes and interviews
  • Networking and connecting with employers
  • Preparing for the world of work

Career Services Hours

  • Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. and Fridays remote 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
  • An in-person appointment can be arranged on select days by request, please email  careerservices@hacc.edu and a career services team member will be in contact.

Are you majorly confused about choosing a major? Are you undecided of your academic or career goals? It’s not uncommon to be undecided or change your mind when you start college. Now is a great time to start exploring to get on the right path. Attend this workshop and learn about the various factors to explore to find the right major for you. There will be an interactive activity that will help you get started in the process!

In this event you'll get the chance to sit in the "reviewer" seat--see what to look for when reviewing a resume to help develop your own!

 

A picture is worth a thousand words! Are you undecided of your major or career goals? Come attend this fun career exploration event! You will be guided through a visualization activity which will have you develop goals and draw YOUR career path.

No artistic skills necessary! Come with an open mind, a blank piece of paper, and any drawing utensils of your choice.

So, Career Connections Week (CCW) introduces you to different experiential learning workshops to help you do just that!   • Learn what it means for you as a HACC student when you want to participate in the Disney College Program, Culinary Program or Internships BEFORE you apply. This way you can make the best-informed decision.

  • If you meet Disney's minimum qualifications and are identified as a strong candidate, they will will schedule a 1:1 phone interview with their team. Selections will be based on application and interview results along with overall business need. The DCP is open to all majors and academic levels. dual enrolled students are not eligible.

  • The Disney Culinary Program is actively recruiting right now. Qualified students can visit here to learn more and apply for consideration
  • Major specific internships for spring 2024 opportunities will also begin to post later this month on DisneyInterns.com Remember, any/all postings are available until the desired application flow/candidate pool is met. Therefore, students should ensure their resumes are ready as many of these postings could only be available for a week or two. Major specific internships require students to be minimally a Junior with having some experience already in their major.
