Interest/hobbies: I enjoy reading, I can spend hours reading a good book. I enjoy a variety of genres with a particular interest in dystopias. I also enjoy history—of all kinds—but tend to focus more on Ancient History and/or WWII. My husband and I just bought our daughter a 1940s Cushman Scooter that she can use at various airshows and reenacting events that are focused on WWII. We also travel…a lot, usually by car. My husband and I have been to various countries in Europe (hope to go back soon to visit different ones!). Our daughter has been to—or through—39 states…so far.

A note from Ashley: I started my post-collegiate career with relocating from Pennsylvania to Virginia for work because job opportunities were tight in Pennsylvania. Thinking outside of the box led me to work in Virginia as a defense contractor. Although I loved the work I was doing, we missed home! After about nine (9) years in Virginia we made the decision to move back home—Lancaster County Pennsylvania. It was time for a career change. I found my footing at HACC and have enjoyed helping students navigate starting college, taking courses and graduating. It’s a rewarding career field to help and watch students work towards and achieve their goals.
