Resources for Current Students
The College is committed to supporting our students as we strengthen and update our academic offerings. We understand that recent program restructuring and announcements about phasing out certain programs have raised concerns, particularly about the ability to complete programs within an 18‑month timeframe. We want to provide clear and reassuring information. We encourage you to come to us first if you have questions rather than relying on information from outside sources - information that may be untrue or misleading.
Program Restructuring into Meta Majors
Students currently enrolled in programs being restructured into meta majors will have options.
You may choose to:
- Complete your current program as a stand‑alone degree or
- Transition into the meta major, where courses will continue to be offered within your specific concentration.
In both cases, the necessary coursework will remain available so you can complete your academic goals.
Phasing Out Programs
For students enrolled in programs or diplomas that are being phased out, the College will ensure you have the opportunity to complete your credential. Individualized teach‑out plans will be developed that clearly outline the remaining courses required for completion of your diploma or degree. These courses are offered as scheduled and will continue to be offered as scheduled.
Academic Support Services
All students will continue to have access to comprehensive support services.
This includes a variety of tutoring options such as:
- Professional in‑person tutoring
- Online tutoring through Tutor.com
- Embedded tutoring in select courses (an “embedded tutor” is a tutor integrated into a specific course who works closely with the students and faculty member throughout the course)
These resources are in place to support your academic success through completion.
Course Availability and Instruction
Contrary to some concerns, no faculty are being pulled from courses. All courses required for diploma or degree completion are currently being offered and will continue to be offered to ensure students can progress and graduate as planned.
