Job seekers will have access to nearly 100 employers over a two-day period during the Spring 2005 Internship and Job Fair on the Harrisburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College.

Members of the community are invited to join HACC students and alumni on Tuesday, April 19, and Wednesday, April 20, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will be held in the Cooper Student Center on the Harrisburg Campus located at One HACC Drive, Harrisburg.

"This is the first year that we have opened the job fair to community members, in addition to HACC students and alumni," said Sheila Ciotti, director, career services, adding that she expects up to 500 participants each day. "They should arrive dressed appropriately for on-site interviews and with their resumes in hand."

Different industries will be represented during each day of the job fair. On Tuesday, employers will represent job opportunities in business, computers, math, science, hospitality and the trades. Wednesday will feature organizations seeking employees with skills in education, human services, arts and communications, allied health and public safety.

HACC representatives also will be on hand to discuss any available professional and non-professional positions on its staff.

In addition to meeting with potential employers and discussing new employment and internship opportunities, participants can explore Workforce and Economic Development non-credit training opportunities and discuss HACC's credit programs with representatives from the admissions office.
