Missoula Children's Theatre takes pride in presenting its newest production, an original musical adaptation of The Jungle Book. Mowgli, the "man-cub," is abandoned in the jungle, adopted by wolves, taught by a bear and befriended by a panther in this imaginative tale based on Rudyard Kipling's story. Through all his adventures and an encounter with Rikki-Tikki-Tavi, the youngster learns what it means to be human.
Among the roles to be cast are Mowgli (the man-cub), his friends Bagheera (the panther) and Akela (the leader of the pack), the entire wolf family, Shere Khan (the tiger) with his side-kick Tabaqui (the jackal), Nag and Nagaina (the cobras), Darzee (the bird), Hathi (the master elephant), Rikki-Tikki-Tavi (the mongoose), Kaa (the rock-python), Buck (a buck) and of course the Monkey-People. Assistant Directors will also be cast to help with the technical aspects of the production.
