In her new role Treuthart will be responsible for providing HACC's York initiative with overall management and to assist in developing the resources to help students achieve their educational and career goals.
"I'm not surprised by the early success of the York initiative," Treuthart said, "and I hope to expand on that effort in the months to come. I believe affordable, quality education is a high priority for many people and HACC's open admission's policy provides an excellent entre to higher education for residents of York County."
Treuthart brings 18 years of experience in academic administration and admissions recruitment to the new HACC initiative. Prior to joining HACC, she as vice president of academic services at Bradley Academy for the Visual Arts. Before working at Bradley she was a career development specialist for York Technical Institute.
Treuthart earned a bachelor of science degree in management studies from University of Maryland and is currently a master's candidate in cultural communications at the College of Notre Dame in Baltimore.
The current programs in York include Business Administration, Fire Science, Early Childhood Education, Human Services, and the Pre-allied health sequence along with general education and developmental studies courses. The college is in the process of assessing the needs of the current students and will expand its program offerings based on student interest for the fall.
