Dressed as playing cards complete with a HACC logo, along with Alice, the Mad Hatter and the Cheshire Cat, culinary arts students threw an Alice in Wonderland tea party at the annual Taste of Central Pennsylvania recently. The student's display included a teapot carved out of ice, and a table set for a tea party. Bread and pastry students served shortbread cookies, biscotti, quickbreads and teacakes to the large crowds attending the event. Other HACC student chefs prepared pumpkin soup and a southwest beef orzo pasta dish.
Hosted by the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, students in HACC's Benjamin Olewine II Center for the Study of Culinary Arts were among 50 restaurants, caterers, and food and beverage purveyors participating in the fund raising event at Strawberry Square in Harrisburg.
