HARRISBURG, Pa. – HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, is proud to recognize employees from across the College who recently received awards and recognition.

Please see information about HACC award recipients below:

  • Howard Alexander III, director of student learning systems support, and Maria Cristina Bucur, mathematics instructor, received 2025 Excellence Awards from the League for Innovation in the Community College. These awards recognize individuals who exemplify exceptional teaching and leadership.
  • Chrissy Davis Jones, MSW, D.Ed., vice president of student success and enrollment management, was nominated and selected for the NASPA Black Diaspora Knowledge Community Stellar 50. Stellar 50 recipients have worked in the student affairs profession for at least five years and make a difference in students’ lives through their professional and philanthropic endeavors.
  • Lisa DeLorenzo, director of high school partnerships, and Divine Dugah, Ph.D., chemistry professor, received 2025 National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) Excellence Awards. These awards honor the remarkable contributions of employees who shape the futures of community and technical college students.
  • Juanita Mort, coordinator in the Office of Information Technology and Learning Experience, received a Leadership Award from the Admin Awards. The Leadership Award recognizes someone who leads others (formally or informally) and demonstrates a variety of leadership qualities.
  • Ryan Neff, MBA, professor of marketing and management, received the Dale P. Parnell Faculty Distinction Recognition for 2025 from the American Association of Community Colleges.
  • Jazmin Simpson, M.Ed., associate dean of the School of Public Service, was honored for her efforts working in the African-American community.
  • John J. “Ski” Sygielski, MBA, Ed.D., president and CEO, was recognized as a scholarship honoree by Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated. Dr. Ski was nominated for his achievement in the field of education and helping to provide access to higher education to all people throughout Central Pennsylvania.
