The areas involved include the library, Learning Commons and tutoring center.
These areas will be closed on July 8, 2025, for disinfection. HACC will use Moon Beam3 UV machines to disinfect and follow up with an approved EPA product for disinfection.

Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces

Gettysburg, PA – Scott Simonds has been appointed campus dean of student affairs at the Gettysburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College. His appointment was announced by Jennifer Weaver, campus vice president.
Simonds is responsible for developing, implementing, supervising and evaluating all aspects of student services at the Gettysburg Campus, including recruitment, admissions, financial aid, advising, career and transfer services, and student activities.
Before coming to HACC, Simonds was director of student life and associate director of student affairs for 10 years at Penn State/York. His previous experience also includes assistant director of residence life at Gettysburg College and positions in student services at the State University of New York/Brockport and Ithaca College.
Simonds has a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from East Stroudsburg University and a master’s degree in student personnel administration from the State University of New York/Buffalo.
More than 2,000 students are enrolled at HACC-Gettysburg Campus for the fall 2009 semester.
