Festgoers will find dance, food, fashion, family fun and exhibits that celebrate the cultures of China, Korea, Egypt, India, Africa, Ireland, Germany, Poland, Latin America and more.
The event will be held from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. rain or shine at the Cooper Student Center on the campus, One HACC Drive, across from the State Farm Show Complex. Admission and parking are free.
Globalfest 2008 opens with a Parade of Nations led by American Legion Post 733's Youth Soul Steppers Drill Team, followed by a series of international performers that include Coyle School of Irish Dance, Chinese Cultural and Arts Institute Dancers, Asian Indian Americans of Central PA Dancers, Egyptian Moon Dance Company Belly Dancers, Sv. Lovro Jr. Tamburitzans Croatian Folk Dancers, Sankofa African Dance Group and Filipino Dancers.
Free Salsa lessons will be given by the Grupo Fuego Latino Dance Ensemble at 3:30 p.m.
For a $3 donation, festgoers also can go on pony and carriage rides from noon-2 p.m. featuring Irv's Carriage Rides in full regalia. In addition, vendors will have Korean, Indian and other international foods and other items for sale.

In addition, festgoers can buy tickets for "Honorable Urashima Taro," a Japanese classic tale for children that creates a fantastic sea world with enchanting characters. The performance is at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at the Rose Lehrman Arts Center, next door to the Cooper Student Center. Tickets are $8. For tickets, call 231-ROSE (7673).
