We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.
Please:
a. Note all day and evening classes at the Lancaster Campus are cancelled. These cancellations include on-campus classes, remote instruction classes, online learning classes, labs, services, off-campus clinicals and off-campus internships.
b. Note only Lancaster Campus essential employees should report to work. Essential employees are those required to perform required critical tasks during a closure to (1) maintain critical services and (2) prepare the campuses for readiness.
c. Note all other Lancaster Campus employees do not need to work and are not required to use leave. These employees’ scheduled meetings are canceled.
d. Note that students can access services online.
e. Sign up for e2Campus alerts to ensure you’re informed.
f. Note that the College will update you when the Lancaster Campus reopens.
In addition, due to the severe storms, multiple buildings on the Harrisburg Campus do not currently have air conditioning. A vendor is working to manually reset the equipment. Again, we apologize for this inconvenience. Thank you.
Free and open to the public, the fair will feature two seminars on topics that are of primary interest to the college-bound student, "Paying for College" and "Selecting the College That's Right for You." Because both seminars are offered first from 6:15 to 6:45 p.m. and again from 7:15 to 7:45 p.m., participants have the opportunity to learn about each topic.
Bruce Diefenderfer of PHEAA (Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency) will lead the seminar, "Paying for College." Diefenderfer will address the financial aid application process, as well as help students and parents understand the right time to start the financial aid process.
Caryn Lange, HACC admissions recruiter, will conduct "Selecting the College That's Right for you." Lange will focus on topics, such as how to identify a student's area of interest and what different colleges have to offer.
