Usually large-scale, Moore's paintings typically focus on portions of the body such as tightly cropped backs, torsos, or faces. Although she paints specific people, her work tends to reveal little about their personality allowing the viewer to inject their own interpretation. Moore's paintings are highly textural and layered with color to create a poetic balance between realism and abstraction.
