The group of works on exhibit at HACC represents a continuation of the artist's Lancaster County landscapes as well as new conceptions of landscape she developed after a move to Vermont. The oils focus on color relationships, texture, depth in space, tranquility, light, and a sense of moving beyond normal perceptions of landscape in our daily lives. "Hopefully, these images will move the viewer to see familiar landscapes with an expanded and enriched vision and perception," said the artist.
"The charcoals represent a continued love for drawing with charcoal, pastel, oil pastel and frequently a mixture of all of these mediums," she said. "An interest in water, reflections, and movement are thoughts associated with the charcoal water drawings."
