Planned for October 11 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., "Nursing: A New Generation of Challenges" will be held in Room 109 on the campus at 731 Old Harrisburg Road.
"This is the second seminar in as many years that we have pulled together as a service to the nurses in our community," said Marilyn Teeter, director of the nursing program. "We want to make it easy for them to stay in town and get up-to-date clinical information."
The seminar will feature three presentations led by local healthcare practitioners. Marcia Fiscel, RN, CDE, of Gettysburg Hospital/Wellspan Health, will present "An Update on Diabetes." Prior to lunch, Gretchen Plotkin, RN, MSN, an adjunct faculty member for HACC Gettysburg, will offer "A New Perspective on Cultural Diversity in Nursing Care." And, leading the afternoon session will be Tracie Brinkach, MBA, an administrative manager of education services for Wellspan Health, with "Blending Generations on Nursing Units."
