The Hurricane Relief Project at HACC-Gettysburg Campus brought in hundreds of donations from HACC students, staff, and faculty, and from community residents including elementary school students.

Steve Fehringer, right, principal at Franklin Township Elementary School, was welcomed by HACC student advisory council officers Mike McCloskey, center, and Kareema Griest, left, as he delivered bottled water and other items to HACC. "We were so impressed with the response from our students," said Fehringer. "Within one week, we were able to get a van full of contributions."

McCloskey also noted the "wonderful response from our students and the community." HACC collected specific items including canned foods, hand-operated can openers, diapers, baby formula, and paper products, all of which have been loaded onto a truck for delivery to hurricane victims on the Gulf Coast.
