The Sunday Afternoons with Judith Pellegrino series at the Harrisburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College, continues this month with topics including the DaVinci Code, guardian angels, dreams, and fairies. Pellegrino is a longtime, popular HACC instructor who specializes in teaching courses that are off the beaten path.

The DaVinci Code: Fact or Fiction will be offered in one session, Nov. 14, noon to 2 p.m. Class will explore the popular new book by Dan Brown, separating fact and fiction. Historical evidence will be explored with some of the source materials behind the book.

Hildegard Bingen, born over 900 years ago and considered the first woman writer, is the topic of a class offered Nov. 14, 2:30-4:30 p.m. Class will learn Bingen also was a composer, playwright, an artist, a naturalist and a mystic, as they explore the life of this remarkable woman.

Remaining afternoons in December include Dreams and Their Meaning, offered Dec. 5, 1:45-3:15 p.m. This course covers the fascinating realm of dreams, their purpose and meaning in our lives. We all dream, whether or not we remember upon waking. This class will teach participants to remember, interpret and analyze their dreams and how to keep and use a dream journal.

The Fascinating Realm of Fairies will be offered Dec. 5, 3:30-5 p.m. This class covers the history and lore of fairies and their role today. Participants will learn about fairy flowers and fairy gardens and how to bring fairies into their lives.
