The Lancaster Campus of Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) this summer will offer several non-credit business classes designed to improve performance in the workplace.
Planning and Leading Productive Meetings will be offered Tuesdays, June 22 - July 20, from 6-9 p.m.
This course focuses on the organizational and interpersonal skills needed to lead highly productive meetings. These skills apply to routine staff meetings, cross-functional or problem-solving meetings, impromptu get-togethers, and more formal information sharing.
The course gives attention to the role of the meeting leader, offering practical guidance on how to develop the proper mindset, manage the process, and use the best decision-making tools and facilitation skills. It also covers group dynamics and the effective use of media tools.
Other business classes offered include Leadership Skills for Managers, focusing on the practical skills and techniques needed to make the transition from manager to leader, Thursdays, June 24 - July 22, from 6-9 p.m.
Managing and Achieving Organizational Goals will be offered Wednesdays, June 23 - July 21, from 6-9 p.m. This is a hands-on guide to both setting and redefining goals, as well as a nuts-and-bolts planning resource for achieving those goals.
