The fun and exercise of Country Line Dancing starts Monday, Nov. 15, and continues for four consecutive Mondays until Dec. 6, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Country line dancing is easy, fun and a great way to meet new friends and exercise. With a low to moderate impact workout, participants will learn the latest dances to current top hits. No experience is necessary.
What's It Worth? Valuing Art & Antiques will be offered Monday, Nov. 15, 6-8 p.m., for those curious about old family paintings, grandpa's photo album or other interesting family treasures.
Art historian, professor, and certified appraiser Dr. Lori Verderame will discuss value indicators and share her expertise on appraisals, art collecting and conservation of aging treasures. She currently appears on the KYW-TV3 segment, "Trash or Treasure?"
Students should bring two objects to class for an appraisal and find out if their attic is a treasure trove or a resting-place for white elephants.
Past Lives: Fact or Fantasy? will be offered Wednesday, Nov. 17, 7-9 p.m. The seasons of our lives may be more than spring, summer, fall and winter. Perhaps we have lived in other times, other places. If so, what influences from these other times are affecting our lives here and now? Have we re-connected with others here on earth to resolve certain life issues? What are they? How are we doing? This class explores these questions.
Creating Your Own Natural Spa at Home is a one-session class on Thursday, Nov. 18, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Using only natural products, students will learn how to create their own home spa. From lighting, music and meditation to herbal "saunas" and facial masks, participants will learn how to create their own soothing space.
Students already are registering for Twelve Obstacles to Successful Living, offered on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 6:30-9 p.m. This class will reinforce the idea that we really don't need talent to do anything well and that we're already gifted - with desire. Students will learn to commit to their desires, eliminate all of the self-imposed obstacles to success, and develop more of their potential capabilities. They will learn to embrace the best within themselves.
