Please note:
a. Employees who work on the Harrisburg Campus should work with their supervisor to determine their working modality for March 5.
b. Only essential personnel from the Facilities and Real Estate Department and the Public Safety and Security Department should report to the Harrisburg Campus.
c. During this time, on-campus resources at the Harrisburg Campus will not be available.
d. Students can access the Welcome Center, financial aid, academic advising, career services, admissions and the bursar online or at another HACC campus.
e. All classes on March 5, 2026 (a spring break date), will be canceled, through distance education or moved to another location. Students with classes on this date should confer with their instructor.
f. Employees with external partners should share this information accordingly.
Among upcoming classes are Stained Glass Basics which will be offered on three Wednesdays, March 17-31, from 6-9 p.m., at the Hourglass Studio in Manheim at 54 South Main Street.
Students will learn the basics for creating their own simple stained glass projects. Topics include cutting, foiling, and soldering. Students will leave with a finished project.
Basketry Techniques for All Levels will be offered on three Saturdays, March 20-April 3, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Lancaster Campus of HACC at 1641 Old Philadelphia Pike.
Students will learn several basketry techniques that will enable them to apply their new skills to many interesting projects. Most of the class time will be devoted to hands-on work.
Students will be able to complete two or more projects of their choice. Their knowledge will allow them to continue to explore basketry and develop their own style.
Lap Quilts for Beginners will be offered Wednesdays, March 31-April 28, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Lancaster Campus of HACC.
This is designed for beginners with little or no sewing experience. Students will make a rail-fence lap quilt from start to finish in five weeks. They will learn the basics of color selection, rotary cutting, accurate piecing, tying and binding.
A list of required supplies will be sent to students with confirmation letter and should be purchased before start of class. Students also will need to have a portable sewing machine in good working order.
