Class will be taught on two Monday evenings, Feb. 23 and March 1 from 6-9 p.m. It is designed for anyone who has ever wanted to develop or purchase a bed and breakfast and learn some of the secrets of becoming an innkeeper, whether as vocation or life-style choice.
Karen Owens will teach the class. She owned and operated The King's Cottage, an award-winning bed and breakfast from 1986 to 1992. She will share her experience with what it is really like to own a B&B, separating myth from reality.
Owens will teach key steps in becoming a successful entrepreneur, touching on everything from planning and development to financing and staffing.
