Those looking to master the art of selling will find some help in a course offered by the Gettysburg Campus of Harrisburg Area Community College.

Climb the Ladder of Success Using the "Twenty Principles of Successful Selling" will be presented Tuesdays, Feb. 3-24, 7-9 p.m. at the Gettysburg Campus of HACC located at 731 Old Harrisburg Road.

The four-session course is designed for the experienced salesperson as well as the beginner. Instructor Ed Hansen has climbed the ladder of sales success and professionalism. The course title is actually the title of a book he is in the process of publishing.

Hansen spent 35 years on the commercial side of the publishing business in advertising sales and sales management. He was responsible for selling and supervising sales from small to medium-sized companies and very large corporations.

When he retired after 22 years with the same company, he had a six-figure salary, a $400/month car lease allowance, and a $30,000 travel and entertainment budget. He wants to teach others to learn effective sales techniques in a short time that he learned on his own over an extended period of time.

Registration for this class and information on many other workforce training, professional development and community education classes is available in HACC's Spring 2004 Noncredit Course Schedule. Contact the Gettysburg Campus by calling (717) 338-1010 or click on the Website below.
