United States Senator Arlen Specter will meet with students attending Harrisburg Area Community College under the Montgomery GI Bill along with veteran alumni and local veterans groups to discuss the current educational benefits of the Montgomery GI Bill. The meeting will take place on Monday, June 11, beginning at noon in the Rose Lehrman Arts Center Auditorium on the Wildwood Campus of HACC.

As Ranking Member on the Veterans Affairs Committee, Senator Specter will gather input from participants in support of his belief in a need for an increase in benefits to the GI Bill. The Montgomery GI Bill is an educational assistance program for eligible students to further their education after high school, and provides educational assistance for people enrolled in approved programs of education or training.

HACC is the site for the discussion, which serves the second largest population of veterans in Pennsylvania using the Montgomery GI Bill.
