HACC Opens Doors to Center for Community Technology and Arts

HACC’s Lancaster Campus is closed on July 6, 2026:

Due to the power outage, our Lancaster Campus will also be closed on July 7, 2026. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Please:

Note all day and evening classes at the Lancaster Campus are canceled. These cancellations include on-campus classes, remote instruction classes, online learning classes, labs, services, off-campus clinicals and off-campus internships.
Note only Lancaster Campus essential employees should report to work. Essential employees are those required to perform required critical tasks during a closure to (1) maintain critical services and (2) prepare the campuses for readiness.
Note all other Lancaster Campus employees do not need to work and are not required to use leave. These employees’ scheduled meetings are canceled.
Note that students can access services online.

In addition, due to the severe storms, multiple buildings on the Harrisburg Campus do not currently have air conditioning. A vendor is working to manually reset the equipment. Again, we apologize for this inconvenience. Thank you.

The community is invited to a free, "sneak preview" of Harrisburg Area Community College's new Center for Technology and Arts on Thursday, December 14, from 5:30pm to 7pm. HACC's facility is located at the former AMP/TYCO building at 1523 North Fourth Street, at the corner of Fourth and Reily Streets in Harrisburg.

The public and potential students are invited to tour the facility, learn about HACC's career programs available at the new location and pick up information about admissions and financial aid. Information about GED preparation classes and adult basic education courses will also be available.

Beginning in January, The Community Center for Technology and Arts will offer diploma, certificate, and associate degree programs in trades and technology programs, while also providing courses for company contract training in areas such as machining, electrical, computers, and management. GED preparation and adult basic education classes will be available in English as well as Spanish. The Center is also a GED test site.
