Effective Aug. 17, HACC’s Lancaster Campus East Building is open. We appreciate your patience. Thank you!
On Sept. 11, 2026, HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, will host an Anniversary Commemorative Event to honor the valiant efforts of the fallen and living heroes of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks in New York City, New York; Washington, D.C.; and Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

We welcome all members of the HACC community and public to gather with us to remember and honor the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001, as well as recognize the courage and sacrifice of the first responders, military and emergency personnel and volunteers who served in the aftermath of the attacks.
As an institution with a strong connection to public safety and emergency services education and training, HACC is uniquely positioned to commemorate the legacy of Sept. 11 and the enduring importance of service, preparedness and community resilience.
The event will also reflect on the unity and compassion demonstrated in the days and years following the attacks and provide an opportunity to educate future generations about the lasting impact of Sept. 11.
Pre-registration is not required. If you have questions regarding this event, please contact spscinfo@hacc.edu.
Guests should enter our Harrisburg Campus through Gate 4. Two parking lots are available immediately off this entrance, providing convenient access to the memorial site between the Piccola Law Enforcement Center and North Hall. A short walk from either parking lot will lead attendees to the World Trade Center Beam Memorial area where the ceremony will take place.
