• Description:

  This 60 minute session is designed for HACC faculty, staff, and administrators and is intended to help attendees understand the needs of transgender and non-binary students. Together we will uncover barriers and challenges that transgender and non-bianry students experience in higher education. This section will include the sharing of both statistics and personal experiences of transgender and non-binary students in higher education. Then the presenter will share best practice strategies for building more inclusive spaces and services for transgender and non-binary students. All faculty and staff are welcome.
