Transgender and Non-binary 101 - Student Involvement & Office of Inclusion, Diversity and Belonging

• Description:

  This 60 minute session is designed to help HACC campus community members better understand basics of transgender and non-binary terminology and affirming language. To ensure that attendees have accurate, up-to-date, and affirming information, LGBT Center of Central PA will start with a transgender and non-binary terminology lesson. This will cover the basics of transgender and non-binary identities and commonly used language as well as language that is considered outdated or offensive. Attendees will also receive best practice language substitutes.

  All students, faculty, and staff are welcome.
