    HACC, the HACC Foundation and the GIANT Company present, “So You Want to Talk About Race” with Ijeoma Oluo (ee-joh-mah oh-loo-oh). Please join us Monday, April 11, 2022, 1 p.m. Registration is required! 

    Ijeoma Oluo is a writer, speaker and internet yeller. She is the author of the #1 New York Times best-seller, So You Want to Talk About Race and most recently, Mediocre: The Dangerous Legacy of White Male America. Her work on race has been featured in The Guardian, The New York Times, and The Washington Post, among many other publications. She was named to the 2021 TIME 100 Next list and has twice been named to the Root 100. She received the 2018 Feminist Humanist Award and the 2020 Harvard Humanist of the Year Award from the American Humanist Association.

    HACC is offering a limited number of FREE copies of Oluo’s “So You Want to Talk About Race” book to those who are interested in obtaining a copy to accompany Oluo’s talk. Starting the week of February 21, 2022, books may be picked up at any HACC campus bookstore, or may be ordered and shipped to you via the HACC Bookstore website ($4.95 shipping fee applies).
