Girls on the Run 5K Celebration Volunteer Opportunity!

    Capital Area Girls on the Run is in need of energetic and enthusiastic volunteers to help at the Girls on the Run 5K Celebration at HACC Harrisburg Campus on Sunday, Nov. 21! The event begins at 8 a.m. with the 5K kicking off at 9:30 a.m. By volunteering, you send a message that every girl matters, that every girl measures up and that every girl deserves to be celebrated! Whatever your special skills and talents, we have a role for YOU!

    Volunteers must be age 16+ (teens with a guardian are able to volunteer). Time commitment is 2-4 hours. We are in need of volunteers for the following categories: 

    • General Day of Volunteer (all ages)
    • Course Guide (all ages)
    • Registration (ages 18+)
    • Event Set Up (all ages)
    • Volunteer Check-In (all ages)
    • Cheer Station (all ages)
    • Water Station (all ages)
    • Rest and Recovery Zone (all ages)
    • Athleta’s Inspiration Station (all ages)
    • Event Clean Up (all ages)

    Additionally, volunteers interested in running can also be Spirit Runners and complete the 5K and cheer on girls and participants. Because Spirit Runners interact with youth participants one-on-one, clearances are required.
