Putting the Civil Back in Civil Discourse - Student Involvement

Date: Thursday February 10, 2022 (This event occurred in the past.)
Time: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
  • Description:

Join us for the "Putting the Civil Back in Civil Discourse" workshop. A key element of Social Justice work is expanding your cause. But, when it comes to changing minds, do you want to be right, or do you want to be effective? This workshop aims to give participants a philosophy and the tools to have more positive "outcome-based" dialogues across differences. Building a "Beloved Community," as MLK called it, is a process that goes beyond protest. The program is being presented by Dialogues on Diversity, an award-winning social justice and diversity theater company.

    All are welcome.
    Sponsored by Student Involvement.
