What is HACC’s program like?
This 220-hour program serves as the foundation for emergency medical services, teaching you the overall roles and responsibilities of an EMT. The program prepares you to:
Future students must meet the following criteria to enroll in the program.
Also, all future students should reference HACC’s Prohibitive Offense Policy to determine their eligibility for the EMT program.
After completion of this program, you may attend a Pennsylvania Department of Health/National Registry of EMT’s psychomotor exam and the National Registry of EMT’s cognitive exam, which will result in EMT certification through both of these agencies.
The EMT program may be used as a free elective toward specific associate degree programs at HACC.

Can I transfer my credits to a four-year college or university?
Upon completing your certificate, you can continue your education and earn an associate degree at HACC! Our healthcare programs, among others, may be of interest.
When you complete your associate degree, you can transfer your credits to a four-year school if you wish.
