In our Web Development and Design Program, you’ll gain the skills you need to be successful in the field. To begin, you will obtain 27 credits in foundation courses, which will lay the groundwork for your chosen specialty. Then, you will select 15 credits within a specialization. The three areas of specialty from which you may choose are:
Prior to graduation, you will work with your classmates in a final capstone course. You will work on an individual portfolio, team-based service learning projects and your soft skills. This will consist of interviewing, traditional and online networking, promotional techniques, proper dress and appropriate demeanor to enter the workforce. You also may choose a web program internship to learn from a mentor within the industry and use this as an elective course.

Absolutely! Although this program is designed to lead you directly into the workforce, opportunities do exist for you to transfer your credits to a four-year institution. Our associate degree programs are designed to be flexible enough to transfer to a wide variety of colleges and universities with no loss of credit. However, each individual college has its own unique program. We encourage you to select a four-year school as soon as possible. This will allow you to learn the transfer college’s program requirements so that you can take the proper classes at HACC.

Yes! With approximately 200 scholarships available through the HACC Foundation, you have the opportunity to earn money towards your HACC education. To view eligibility requirements and learn how to apply, we encourage you to visit hacc.edu/scholarships.
