HACC's New Hire Information

Congratulations and welcome to HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College!

On behalf of your colleagues, we welcome you to HACC and wish you every success here. We believe that each employee contributes directly to HACC's purpose and core values.

Our Purpose: Learning for all; learning for life.

We hope you will take pride in being a member of our team!

To begin your onboarding process, please follow the process outlined in your offer acceptance e-mail. For questions, please contact Human Resources at hr@hacc.edu.

Before your employment at HACC begins, you are required to complete an onboarding process through our automated onboarding process. Onboarding includes collecting new hire documents, benefits enrollment, and I-9 verification. All faculty appointments (as well as other positions that have direct contact with minors) are required to comply with the PA Act 15 requirements.

For questions regarding new hire paperwork, please contact hr@hacc.edu.

HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College strives to create a welcoming and safe environment for students, employees and visitors. Therefore, background checks are performed on all final candidates prior to an employment offer; hiring is contingent upon the results of this background check.

HACC requires employees and volunteers to complete and sign an Employment/Volunteer Disclosure and Authorization Form (pdf) authorizing, without reservation any party, including, but not limited to, employers, consumer reporting agencies, law enforcement agencies, state agencies, institutions and private information bureaus or repositories, contacted by CBY System Inc. to furnish any or all of the above mentioned information, including consumer reports and/or investigative consumer reports. Your signature allows a photocopy or fax copy of this authorization to be as valid as the original.

For questions related to background checks, please contact hr@hacc.edu.

The safety and welfare of our students is of utmost importance at HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College.

All faculty are required to provide current copies of PA Act 15 clearances and mandated reporter training at the time of hire in order to be authorized to teach at HACC. Other positions will also be required to comply with PA Act 15 requirements based on their role and contact with students.

Required PA Act 15 clearances are acceptable if they were completed for:

  • the purpose of employment (for HACC or another employer)
  • and within five years (60 months) of the initial request date.

Costs associated with the clearances are the responsibility of the employee.

Copies of the clearances will be collected during your onboarding process. For your protection and security, do not e-mail copies of your clearances unless specifically requested by an authorized HACC human resources employee.
