HARRISBURG, Pa. – HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, has been designated a 2026 Leader College by Achieving the Dream (ATD), a national organization committed to advancing community colleges as accessible hubs of learning, credentialing and economic mobility.

Being named an Achieving the Dream Leader College affirms the intentional, sustained work we are doing to remove barriers, strengthen support systems and create clear pathways for every student to thrive,” said HACC President and CEO John J. “Ski” Sygielski, MBA, Ed.D. “This recognition reflects the resilience and achievement of our students and the unwavering commitment of my colleagues. While we are proud of this distinction, we remain focused on what matters most - expanding opportunity, driving completion and ensuring our students can build meaningful futures for themselves., their families and the communities we serve.”
Leader Colleges are recognized for meaningful progress in expanding access; improving early momentum metrics, such as retention; advancing relevant student success strategies with evidence of implementation and early results; and growing institutional capacity through culture and capacity-building efforts.
HACC has been part of the ATD Network since 2022, and this is the College’s first time receiving Leader College status.
