HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, is creating a new marketing campaign, and we want eight of our students to be THE faces of the campaign…and become #HACCfamous!

Do you relate to a Gabriella, Samantha, Ron or Shandra? If yes and you are #HACCproud, we want you! Plus, if you are chosen, you will receive up to $10,000 toward your HACC tuition and a HACC T-shirt for your commitment.

If chosen for the campaign, you may be encouraged to include family members in the campaign. This is not a requirement unless noted above. Also, the College encourages our military and veteran students to participate in the casting call.

This long-term marketing campaign will require a time commitment of at least two years from those chosen to participate. It will be fun and a great example for your portfolio! Plus, your family and friends may even see you on a billboard!

  • You must be a continuing HACC student who is registered or intends to register for the fall 2022 semester and plans to complete your associate degree, certificate or diploma at HACC. To register for classes, please visit
  • The chosen students must have and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • You must be willing to travel for persona-related photo shoots, video shoots and/or events. HACC will provide compensation for your mileage.
  • You must be able to speak about your experience before, during and after HACC.
  • You must understand and agree to being a public figure for HACC.
  • As a public figure, your actions and imagery that you share, even when not mentioning HACC, are representing the College during the marketing campaign. Those chosen should not include or make any inappropriate gestures or state any vulgar language. If anything inappropriate is said or shared during the campaign, corrective action will be taken by HACC including removal of funds.
  • HACC reserves the right to withdraw or not award the tuition giveaway if the participant is dishonest during the campaign, makes inappropriate remarks or does not complete the required assignments.
  • HACC reserves the right to require the participant to refund the College if the awarded funds are used prior to the sharing of any inappropriate gestures or remarks, vulgar language or dishonesty.
  • The individuals chosen will need to participate in video and photo shoots on- and off-campus. The individuals chosen will be required to sign a contract and agree to the required terms.
  • Up to $10,000 in tuition giveaways will be awarded to each of the chosen students to use the money for tuition and fees for credit and noncredit courses at HACC. The funds will be awarded during the spring 2023, fall 2023 and spring 2024 semesters if all work is completed prior to that semester. For example, if all of the campaign work is completed for the fall 2022 semester, the student will receive the first $3,333 for the spring 2023 semester. The funds cannot be used after spring 2024 or during a summer semester.
  • A thank-you letter to the donor providing the tuition giveaway funds is required for your award. This is required to receive the funds. If the thank-you letter is not provided by the requested deadline, the funds will be forfeited.
  • The funds will be applied to your HACC account after you register for classes and it is confirmed you are eligible for the funds. If you register after tuition is due, you will need to make other arrangements, such as payment plans, until the monies are applied to your account.
  • The individuals chosen will be the FACE of HACC and be noticed within the community. The students should expect to hear comments such as, “I saw you on a billboard! Are you the person on TV for HACC?”
  • Participation is expected from August 2022 through the completion of the student’s associate degree, certificate or diploma.
  • HACC reserves the right to remove any participants’ posts or comments from social media that are abusive or dishonest. This includes HACC removing the post or comments themselves or asking the participant to remove the post or comments. If the post or comments are not removed or the participant is unwilling to remove them, the participant will no longer receive the tuition giveaway funds.
  • The College will complete background checks for the finalists. The College will pay for the background checks.
  • Each participant who completes the online form and/or video interview (whether or not you are chosen for the campaign), gives HACC permission to use his/her photograph or video, either individually or in a group setting, and to use video or photographs in which you appear in college advertisements and in publications, including, but not limited to, newsletters, annual reports and social media.
  • Meeting deadlines provided by the College for this campaign are critical. If more than one deadline is missed, the College reserves the right to withdraw or not award the tuition giveaway.

You will be expected to:

  • Understand and agree to the time commitment
  • Be comfortable with sharing your journey before, during and after HACC through video, photos and written material
  • Participate in video shoots, photo shoots, on-camera interviews and/or off-camera interviews (We will do our best to work with your schedule.)
  • Sign a contract agreeing to the rules and guidelines
  • Remain in communication with HACC’s integrated marketing communications department
  • Serve as a HACC ambassador by sharing HACC experiences and examples of day-to-day activities as a college student on social media
  • Conduct social media takeovers
  • Attend key HACC events to share your story with employees, students and/or the College community (virtually or physically)
  • Complete HACC’s online story bank once a year during the campaign. The recipient will receive an email prompting them to complete the online form.
  • Follow all rules and guidelines (listed above and in the contract)
  • Speak comfortably in front of a camera
  • Do beginner level acting on camera (for example, have a conversation with an instructor)
  • Have good public speaking skills

We will be holding interviews with interested HACC students at the Harrisburg and York campuses July 12-14, 2022. The interview will last no more than 30 minutes.


  • Review all of the rules, guidelines and expectations.
  • Complete the online form with the required information by July 10. After submitting the form, the confirmation message will immediately prompt you to choose your preferred date, time and location for the interview.
  • Check your email for the confirmation email from “Appointlet” noting the date, time and exact location for the interview.
  • Note the selection for times is first come, first serve.
  • Be prepared to talk on camera during the interview about your life before and during HACC.
  • Arrive five minutes earlier than your interview start time.
  • Be you. We want real students and real stories. Pretend the camera isn’t there and let’s have a conversation!
  • Avoid wearing clothes with non-HACC logos. You are not required to wear a HACC shirt.

Following the interviews, the College will choose eight students to be THE face of HACC.


Yes! Since you signed HACC’s photo release form when completing the interview sign up, the College may use your video testimonial in other marketing materials, such as online ads, email blasts or on HACC’s website.
