Changes to HACC’s Culinary Arts Program

Updated: Nov. 6, 2020

HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, is aware of the permanent closures of BRICCO and Ciao! Bakery, two restaurants where our Culinary Arts Program and Baking and Pastry Arts Certificate Program students attend off-site classes.

Changes to three courses in the Culinary Arts Program will take effect on Nov. 21, 2020, when industry partners Bricco and Ciao! Bakery permanently close.

Current students enrolled in BAKE 205, CULI 205 and CULI 206 courses will finish the fall 2020 semester via remote and online instruction. Additional details will be provided by your instructor within the next two weeks.

Students enrolled in BAKE 205, CULI 205 and CULI 206 courses for the spring 2021 semester will be provided alternative locations for practicum lab work through HACC’s supervised industry experiences. These locations will be shared with students as soon as possible, but no later than two weeks before the spring semester begins.

Please read HACC's statement about the closing of Bricco and Ciao! Bakery.
