Health Careers Information Sessions

We invite you to attend a health careers information session to learn more about our programs, the admission process, clinical expectations, and selective admission process.

What do information sessions cover?

Information sessions are open to current and potential students. RSVP is required. During these sessions, you can:

• Hear from program faculty and current students.
• Gain career insights specific to health care fields.
• Learn about essential qualifications (physical and behavioral).
• Understand curriculum details, expenses, and clinical time commitments.
• Get familiar with selective admission criteria, point systems, and class selection.
• Review requirements such as background checks, health forms, and screenings.

Information Session Details

Cardiovascular Technology (CVT)

Topics covered include program rigor, point systems, and start dates. Future and current students are welcome.

Please RSVP for your attendance to Tami Burkholder at 717-358-2837 or by sending an email from your HAWKMail to tlburkho@hacc.edu. Provide your name, HACC ID, date of attendance and which CVT program (invasive or sonography) you plan to apply to.

All applications must be completed by May 1, 2024. Late applications will not be accepted. Students may apply to only one program: Invasive or Cardiac Sonography.

Dental Assisting

These 45-minute sessions include program details and a tour of the dental facilities. Held on the Harrisburg Campus in Select Medical Room 105.

These 60-minute sessions include program details and a tour of the dental facilities. Held on the Harrisburg Campus in Select Medical Room 105.

Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS)
Sessions are located on the Harrisburg Campus, Select Medical Building.

Expanded Functions Dental Assisting (EFDA)

Sessions are held via Zoom.

Massage Therapy

Rad Tech (X-Ray)
Sessions last one hour.

Surgical Technology 
Required for students applying to clinicals within one year. Pre Registration required.

Nursing (RN & LPN)
Sessions cover careers, program details, expenses, and the application process. Registration is required, and attendance will be mandatory for clinical application. Sessions tend to last about two hours.
