Certificate Program Offerings

 

Would you like to upgrade your skills or learn something totally new? HACC can provide the training to help you through our certificate programs.

Green Flower/HACC logosAs the cannabis industry expands, the demand for skilled and credible professionals expands with it. Becoming an expert in this field means learning from the pioneers who are taking the industry into the mainstream. The certificate programs that Green Flower offers in partnership with HACC include three online study areas:

  • Advanced Manufacturing Agent Certificate - Gain advanced job skills and knowledge to excel in a manufacturing role in the cannabis industry. You will study a range of topics, including: the business of cannabis extraction, product development, formulation and plant ensemble, extraction processes and principles, product safety, packaging and labeling, pest control, product testing, storage and more.
  • Advanced Dispensary Associate Certificate - Gain advanced job skills and knowledge to excel as a dispensary associate. You will study a range of topics, including: the history and botany of the cannabis plant, cannabinoids, terpenes, and the Endocannabinoid System, as well as health and safety training, best security procedures, inventory tracking, the importance of documentation and recordkeeping, and product safety.
  • Advanced Cultivation Technician Certificate - Gain advanced job skills and knowledge to excel in a cultivation role in the cannabis industry. You will study a range of topics, including: the business of cannabis cultivation, botany and genetics of the cannabis plant, seeds, germination, cloning, light sources, pests, disease and threat management, irrigation, product safety, packaging and labeling, storage, and more.

This program will provide you with foundational skills for success in targeted, entry-level positions in the cannabis industry.

This program will prepare you for a variety of entry-level roles in the medical cannabis industry. Common averages include:

What are HACC’s classes like?


Instruction for these courses is provided by top experts in the cannabis industry through online, self-paced classes that you can access and complete at your convenience during an eight-week timeframe. Each of the certificate programs, which is presented in weekly, comprehensive modules, provides a well-rounded overview of the certificate focus area. Participants will also complete a portfolio project that allows them to demonstrate their sector-specific knowledge.
Students should expect to dedicate around six hours per week to complete the coursework in this program.

Many adults (employed and unemployed) and young adults entering the workplace lack core skills that are required as a foundation of success in their chosen employment or careers.

This 6-week certificate program provides content and instruction to develop skills and abilities that act as a foundation for success in any workplace. The content is further enhanced by re-occurring themes focused on the holistic development of healthy and effective behaviors that, when used in combination with job-related proficiencies, promote adaptability, communication, creative thinking, and engagement with others.

This course includes weekly (T/TH) remote presentations and discussions via Zoom, as well as asynchronous (independent) assignments and learning activities that are completed online. Our goal is to develop a well-rounded introduction in a safe learning environment with expert instructors and resources.

Course elements are presented in blended format to include:

  • Two in-class remote sessions (2 hrs. each) each week with a focus on workplace skills Tuesday night and IT competency on Thursday night (24 hrs. total instruction)
  • Six (6) learning checks and topic discussions
  • Six (6) one-hour scheduled partner sessions for additional class interaction, projects, scenarios, and feedback (6 hrs. class participation)
  • Final project - skills self-assessment and research of potential career opportunities

This program will provide you with foundational skills for success in any entry-level position.

The classes are taught by industry professionals and include some online activities such as discussion boards and quizzes.
